Techiman North District holds DISEC meeting

The Techiman North District has held a District Security Executives Committee (DISEC) meeting to address issues pertaining to the recent happenings in the district.

Mr. Peter Mensah the District Chief Executive and also chairman of the District Security Council, took the opportunity to highlight some of the measures the district has put in place to ensuring effective and tight security to promote peace in the district.

The DCE who is much concerned about peace in the district stated that the district has put in place, right measures to ensure that, what happened at 'Fosu Krom', suburb of Tuobodom, the district capital of the Techiman North of the Bono Ahafo Region last Monday will not occur again.

It will be recalled that, there were series of gunshots at a place (Fosu krom), the district has declared as "security zone".

Addressing the media, Mr. Peter Mensah made it known that, the place has not been released to anyone so no one should use the land to avoid future occurrences.

What I want to say is that, " the land has not been released for sale so those who are purchasing plots there should thread with caution and also those who have employed Land guards to protect their lands should desist from it and withdraw them from land with immediate effect", Peter Mensah fumed.

Meanwhile, he assured that the district is calm and peaceful so no one should panic. "I want to use this opportunity to assure the populace that there is peace in the district so there is no panicking", Hon. Peter Mensah assured.
