Prestea Huni-Valley MP, MCE show love to Muslims

The Member of Parliament for the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality, Lawyer Mrs. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi and the Municipal Chief Executive, Mozart Kwaku Owuh has demonstrated their love for Muslim communities in the municipality.

It was in line of this that the MCE and the MP presented items such as 139 cartons of milk, 84 bags of sugar and 80 cartons of tea bag to the Imams at Prestea, Bogoso, Huni-Valley and Aboso.

These items were to be distributed to the individuals at various Jumu’ah centers during their month long fast.

Addressing the Imams, Mr. Mozart said the items the MP and the Assembly have presented demonstrated their love for the Muslim communities, and pleaded with the Imams to continue to offer prayers for the president the MP, the assembly and the country as a whole.

The MCE applauded Muslims for living peacefully with other religious organizations, saying this has contributed to the promotion of democracy and good governance in the municipality.

The Nasara Coordinator Mr. Amudu who received the items on behalf of the Muslim community commended the MP and the Assembly for their kind gestures. He promised they were going to pray for the president, MP and the Assembly.
